Vettaikaaran visits Trivandrum!

January 16, 2010 By: OVF Admin Category: OVFC Special, Vettaikaran

Vettaikaaran is still on a high note inspite of Pongal releases, with Ilayathalapathy Vijay visiting various places to join the success celebrations with his fans. The recent was at Trivandrum where Vijay came to watch Vettaikaaran in New Theater in the city.

The day was a testimony for the fact that Trivandrum has one of the strongest fan base for Vijay in the whole of south India apart from Tamil Nadu and probably the best in Kerala. It is said that the crowd that gathered exceeded what was earlier seen at the time of Pokkiri’s success celebrations.

Inspite of being an afternoon doomed by eclipse, a huge fan crowd numbering close to 5000 gathered at the venue to catch a glimpse of their favorite hero. Policemen had a tough time controlling the crowd’s enthusiasm. Then Vijay arrived dressed in a blue jean and white shirt, as simple as ever, yet at his dazzling and stylish best. Fans claim that they have never seen such a huge crowd for any Tamil actor in Kerala.

The regional channels like Asianet and Jeevan TV covered the event and telecasted it in the evening. After the celebrations, Vijay left the venue early as the crowd was growing uncontrollable and hysteric watching their matinee idol live. Later Vijay attended a charity event where Vijay had his lunch with little kids, his “kutty kutty friends” as he calls them.

There was also a press meet in which he took questions from media and also expressed his willingness to act in a Malayalam movie, provided he gets a good script. He crooned a few lines from the mass number from Vettaikaaran, “Naan adicha thaanga maata” as per the request from the gathering. Vijay reportedly returned back to Chennai in the evening flight after the eventful day.
