Ground Rules of OVFC

Community pledge:

First and foremost, understand that whatever personal opinions and thoughts you have on Vijay, as far as this community is concerned, “Vijay is the best” and should be supported in any situation. If you can’t do that please refrain from posting till you have something postive to post about him.

Second, I again repeat “Vijay is first and best, there is no rest”. That is, whoever actor you like apart from Vijay here in this community you are expected to support only Vijay and talk only about him. Use other actor communities to give any lectures about them.

Third, once again I repeat, “Vijay is the best”. So don’t degrade his stature by comparing with any actor-seniors or juniors. And don’t bring in problems or headaches from other communities who cannot realise the worth of Vijay.

Fourth, once again “Vijay is the best”. Lets all learn to accept the way vijay is. A fan is someone who likes a person for what he is and what he does; Not because he does what they want him to do. This is a fans community and not Tamil Cinema welfare community. A person like Vijay after so many years of career in Cinema and seeing so many situations, knows how to plan his career, how to act and whom to work with.

Finally and forever, “Vijay is the best”. So stay his side whatever may come. If you are going to let him down for 2 or 3 movies that has gone out of expectations, then you are insulting his 17 year career which is full of unforgettable and unimaginably wonderful movies. You can choose to respect him or insult him.

Basic Ground Rules to be followed

1. Vijay is the only star in OVFC who should be given importance and no other actors discussion should be dragged into Vijay related threads, if found by moderators they will be deleted without notice.

2. Advises to vijay in name of vijay should have done this movie, vijay missed that movie, vijay should work under so and so direction, there should be get up change in this movie etc will not be allowed. If any posts advising vijay is found, they will be deleted citing proper notice in that thread itself.

3. No politics thread will be allowed in this community unless and until vijay himself voices his opinion on XYZ party personally or announces his entry into politics. Mods will delete if they find any politics related thread if members are found canvassing for/abusing so and so party here in community.

4. We had enough of cricket threads in community. NO Cricket related threads , world cup threads, IPL threads will be allowed in community. This is not the place to discuss all these things. There are communities in orkut available for this purpose.

5. Design threads will be allowed to stay in community for a period of one day, after which they will be moved to DESIGN Thread. If anyone finds a particular design thread is not deleted even after one day time period, please feel free to post in suggestion thread or inform the moderators personally in their scrapbook.

6. For other community promotion, be it orkut or FB, USe Join request thread. Other than Affiliates of VFOC, none of other communities promotion will be allowed here in OVFC.

7. Official Birthday wishes thread will be allowed only for Vijay and his family. [OT] Bday wishes thread for members will be allowed only before the day of birthday. Birthdays wishes thread for members alone will be allowed and not for member’s girl friend, member’s friend or whatever. Strictly no birthday wishes thread for other cine stars, cricket stars or any one else will be allowed .

8. Polls with maximum end date of 2 weeks will be allowed, if found more than this time period, polls will be deleted. Only vijay related polls will be allowed.

9. Polls or threads comparing Vijay with other actors are strictly not allowed.

10. Threads about discussion on Vijay in other communities are not allowed. We are not bothered about other communities anytime. Calling members for supporting Vijay in junk communities like TCC will not be entertained. Nothing in this world will change if people in TCC talk good about Vijay or his films.

11. News from blacklisted sites will not be allowed, contact mods for a list of them. (Behindwoods, Kollywood Today, thatstamil, narumugai etc).

12. “Why my thread deleted”, “why my post deleted”, “why my friend banned”, for all such discussions use suggestion/alerts/request thread or in notice thread or contact the owner or mods personally in their scrapbook.

13. New thread creations

13.1 Movie Specific Threads: For every Vijay movie which is currently under production, an OFFICIAL thread will be created. Members are requested to use that thread for discussion on that movie. Any new thread created for this purpose will be deleted. The website news articles can be discussed in threads as usual, and here too please try to use a single thread for all related news on the same topic(Eg: News from all websites under topic “Vettaikaaran audio released” can be discussed in the same thread)

13.2 Request Threads: Requests to join a community or vote in a poll should be made ONLY in the respective official threads. Separate threads for such things will be deleted. If links to non-Vijay communities are posted, it will be deleted without any notice. Again, please don’t ask people to vote for Vijay in A or B communities or those which creates best hero polls for every month. Be more sensible when you ask people to vote.

13.3 Repeated Topics: When a person repeats thread that already exists the one that was started first will be retained and the duplicate one will be deleted even if it had more responses.

13.4 No GAME threads are allowed unless it is related to Vijay/Use the existing Game threads.

14. Interaction with other members, owner and moderators

14.1 Complaints/Grievances: Regarding any dispute about the moderator’s actions, creating threads to abuse a mod or to demand explanation will not be entertained. Your thread will ONLY be deleted if it violates rules. In case of a dispute, contact any of the moderators through alerts/suggestions thread only. Provoking the moderators/members is not allowed, Talks about other members, abusing/degrading won’t be encouraged inside the community. No separate threads shall be created to discuss personal issues with moderators or other members.

14.2 Owner specific requests: Owner will change the community display picture regularly (at least once in 3 days) and the related communities will be shuffled fairly. In case of a dispute, contact the owner through alerts/suggestions thread only.

14.3 Courtesy sake: Moderators will take the responsibility to post the notice when a thread is deleted. Others, please have the courtesy while replying to fellow members if someone posts a question or if someone suggests you something.

15. Spam Management: Repeated advertising of a community or a website or ANY particular item for that matter in new threads is considered SPAM and will be deleted, if it is not related to Vijay. Even when related to Vijay, duplicate posting in multiple threads is not entertained.

16. If you have complaints on any moderator or you are not satisfied on so and so moderators, you can use owner’s scrapbook and post your request there, you will get a reply.

These are just basic things to be followed as a fans community and with a strength of 90000+, for maintaining the community clean, without problems and confusions and to be impartial to all. Don’t think that we are enforcing something on you all. We have no grudge against anyone and by following these rules it will be better for you better for us and also for the betterment of community.

Thanks to all those who supported us throughout the making of this comic and expecting all your support and encouragement for a successful release and similar works planned for the future.

Vijay Day : 20th Jan in Hello FM

It was a memorable day for Vijay fans on 20th Jan 2011 when Hello FM 106.4 dedicated a day full for Vijay as a special occasion for the movie Kavalan. Vijay’s interview was there in all the shows from 7 AM to 9 PM, lots and lots of evergreen songs of Vijay were played and lots of people from film fraternity and fans wished Vijay for the success of Kavalan. We at OVFC proudly present to you the extract of about 106 minutes from all the shows and it contains Vijay’s interviews and speeches others gave about Vijay.

The credits for the complete original footage goes to the Owner of the blog http://actorvijayjoseph.blogspot.com/ without whom we would not have got the complete footage of the day. We sincerely thank him for the valuable contribution to Vijay fans. Also special thanks to our dear friend Magesh who let us know about this blog.
