Vijay in ‘3 Idiots’?
Sources say that Ilayathalapathy Vijay has expressed his interest in acting in the Tamil remake of the Hindi blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’ starring Aamir Khan.
Vijay has apparently shown much interest in the remake in Tamil, which will be directed by ‘Billa’ director Vishnuvardhan. Sources say that Vijay would do Aamir’s role in the movie. Vishnu has been having a bad outing ever since his ‘Sarvam’ starring Arya and Trisha bombed at the box office. He would hope to revive his record with the remake of ‘3 Idiots’. Sources say that Vishnu will modify the subject according to tastes of the Tamil audience.
Sources reveal that the Tamil remake rights of ‘3 Idiots’ have been bought by Gemini Film Circuit, who have remade many hit movies in the past, including ‘Vasool Raja’, the remake of ‘Munna Bhai MBBS’. Watch out for this space, for more updates on Vijay’s next movie.

Vijay-Asin Again
Asin, who moved to Bollywood in 2008, is likely to make a comeback to Tamil cinema this year. She has reportedly been signed for the Vijay’s movie which is the remake of Malayalam hit ‘Bodyguard’ starring Dileep and Nayantara.
Sivaraju Venkatraju, who last made ‘Priymanavale’ with Vijay in 2000 will produce this new film. Siddique who directed the original will direct the Tamil version also. Siddique and Vijay combination earlier rocked in the comedy riot ‘Friends’.
For Asin this film is a sort of comeback to Tamil. After her first Hindi film ‘Ghajini’ with Aamir Khan becoming super hit, her next film ‘London Dreams’ with Salman Khan bombed. So she is desperate to keep her top star status and image intact. But of course Asin never said she will not do a Tamil film after moving to Bollywood.
Asin and Vijay pair was very successful with films like ‘Pokkiri’ and ‘Sivakasi’ doing wonders at the box office. Meanwhile, Vijay’s 50th film ‘Sura’ is nearing completion and plans are on to release it this April.
Sura from April
Sun Pictures today officially said that it had acquired the release rights of Vijay starrer ‘Sura’. The film production and distribution arm of the Sun Television Network has also said it would release the film in April.
Since ‘Sura’, directed by S P Rajakumar, is the 50th film of Vijay, it is being made on a never before budget when compared to other movies of the actor. The shooting is currently on in and around the fishing hamlets near Puducherry, as Vijay is playing a fisherman.
After completing the current schedule in the Union Territory, the cast and crew of the movie would move to Tuticorin, where a stunt sequence had been planned near the harbour. The next destination would be foreign locales, where songs would be canned on the lead pair- Vijay and Tamannah.
Produced by Sangili Murugan (who had produced ‘Kadhalukku Mariyadhai’), ‘Sura’ has musical score by Mani Sharma. Cinematography is by Ekambaram, whose work for ‘Iyarkai’ and ‘Kanthaswamy’ won accolades.
